Through his textual research of historical and folk works, Lu Xun, a great thinker and theorist of the contemporary literary history, wrote a wealth of works concerning the hot issues and questions in the folk literature and art from the historical perspectives of dialectic materialism. It also gives an analysis of Lu Xun's writing, which covers the relationship between Lu Xun's novels and the folk literature, the relationship between Lu Xun's sketches and the folk literature, and the relationship between Lu Xun's essays and the folk literature. And last, it explores Lu Xun's defence of and contributions to the folk literature:He advocates taking down mulianxi in shorthand, promoting the folk literature, and making studies of the folk literature. This these states in its conclusion that Lu Xun's writings are deeply and closely related to the folk literature and art, which highlights Lu Xun's positions, viewpoints, and spirits and achievements in writing.
