| Sinology was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty, and ritualism was revived. In the context of this era,Hui Shiqi is one of the main figures of the Wu School of Qianjia School. His book was "the most rooted in the theory of ritualism" at that time.He did not quote the original text of Zhou Li(周礼),but cited the opinions of various famous authors to prove and refute. However, there are few studies on this in the academic circles. This paper uses the method of example, induction and statistics to systematically analyze and study the exegesis content, methods, exegesis characteristics and problems and achievements of Hui Shiqi’s i Shuo(礼说).Among them, the content and methods of exegesis refer to the classification of views of famous scholars. And according to the specific situation of this book, the exegesis on the content of the ancient annotations is added into the exegesis content. The exegesis features are divided into three points:Extensive citation of literature, order can be seen in the complex;Identify words, trace the sound of words, and explain etiquette and righteousness;Annotated scriptures are not restricted to a fixed format. There are also some problems with this book, such as:Stick to the wrong ancient meaning and forcefully misinterpret;Lack of arguments and lack of extension;Sometimes conjecture,far-fetched;Limited to tiny, not seeing the big picture;Slightly biased, not discerning the essence.Li Shuo(礼説)also verified the origin of the characters, clarified the ancient ritual system, and achieved undeniable achievements. All of the above are analyzed in conjunction with the specific examples of Li Shuo(礼説). |
