Study On Dementia Narrative In The Novels Of The New Period

Madness is the classical motif in the history of Chinese and foreign literature. Since China starts to transform from traditional society to the modern one, the Chinese literature of the new period changes unceasingly in accordance with the reforming of Chinese politics, economy and cultural transformation. Madness came into existence in all kinds of genre just because it conforms to this cultural imagination in the period of social transformation. Dementia narrative emerges massively in the Chinese literature of the new period, and presents different trends with the development of times.This article takes the dementia narrative in the novels of the new Period as the object of study. Based on the concrete text, it inspects the dementia narrative's type, connotation, inner transformation and aesthetic value with the employment of the narrative theory of science. The goal is to search the culture spirit and tendency in this period by analyzing its characteristic and the significance. This article includes the following parts.
