Generalized Discussion About Sports Terms

Sports terms generalization means that sports words not only using in its field, but also using in the other areas. The development of mass media provided a quick cross-domain communication channel for the use of sports terms. Currently, the generalization of the sports terms is limited to the research of the generalization approach, the causes and the rhetorical effects. In the case of the classification, it has not done in-depth study. Sports terms are frequently used in the other field, and often appeared in the headlines, so, This paper is based on a large number of investigations, analyzed the generalization of the source of the sports term, the generalization of the results and the degree of generalization。Part three is generalization approach, based on the previous research, this paper added a generalized approach-metonymy, and explained the process of metonymy with the examples. The fourth part is the reason of the generalization, which is the result of the multiple factors, the development of the media and people's sense of innovation play an important role. Because of the application of network resources, an unprecedented expansion of information, people found the interesting information quickly. Cross-domain use of sports terms attract people's attention, in turn, people developed a path for the use of the cross-domain use of sports terms.In part five,the imbalance of the Sports terms'structure,which is the innovation of this paper, revealed the imbalance of the Sports term generalization with the data, including imbalance in the phrase combination in the other areas, these are worthy of research.Part seven is a summary of this paper. This part discussed the use of sports terms' underlying causes and transmission discipline,and confirmed that cross-domain use of sports terms enhancing language skills and put forward some suggestions for a better use.The Significance of this paper is through observation of the sports terms generalization, revealed the development of modern Chinese vocabulary rules to lead people to rational use of language resources.
