OuYang, a Chinese contemporary female artists, was born in the 1930's. Her early painting styles were affected by the Soviet and emphasize realism. Since 1985, she has been inspired by ZhaoWuji to start thinking about the problem of the East-style painting. She spent more than 20 years in focusing on the East-West artistic language conversion, and is committed to exploring the life and significance of artistic creation. She chose aesthetic "image" painted by Chinese literati as the core of painting change, considered the pursuit of artistic conception in "Qiyun vivid" as the entry point of the "image" creation, absorbed the colours of Impressionism and Expressionism and the creation form of modern Western art and added to the love and interest of Chinese ink painting, forming language style of painting that has Chinese image aesthetic features.The article is divided into four parts. Introductory section introduces the historical background of the article and the practical significance in researching it, and has a relevant overview to the research that people have done into OuYang and her image oil painting over the years; The first chapter summarizes the relevent research into the image oil painting and explained the meaning of the image oil painting; The second chapter describes the language features of the image oil painting in detail and analyse the unique characteristic of the OuYang image oil painting; The third chapter probes into the exploring journey of Ouyang oil painting from the macro, combining the historical background of creation, and draws a conclusion; The fourth chapter will discuss that we consider and look back at the influnce that the exploration of Ouyang image oil painting has on the creation of Chinese artists in the contemporary language environment.
