Integrating other scholars' research about monosyllabic adjective words' gemination pattern AA of mandarin and some dialects, this thesis describes and studies AA pattern descriptive adjective words of Yaoxu dialect completely for the first time. In addition, we also have given the following characteristics some cognitive explanations. And, this thesis enriches the study on Yaoxu, Xinyu and Gan dialect, and it has a superficial help for the study on Mandarin and other dialects as well.Based on language data collection, and by using the way of objective description and contrastive analysis, we have done a deep study on AA pattern descriptive adjective words of Yaoxu dialect on the following four aspects for the first time: phonetic (tonal modification), semantic (semantic type, referent and degree), syntax (syntactic function, mark mode) and pragmatic (pragmatic occasion and function). Therefore we get some characteristics of AA pattern descriptive adjective words of Yaoxu dialect:Contrast to the based format A, the A in AA pattern has tonal modification and two different kinds of modification indicate semantic degree differences in cognition; AA pattern has deeper semantic degree; AA pattern can not be a part of a sentence until it has mark words like "哩''or"哩个" to form "AA哩"or"AA哩个", and "AA哩"plays the role as an adverbial modifier or complement while"AA哩个'' plays the role as a subject, predicate, object and attribute; "AA哩"can be used in dynamic statement and description as well as repeat and conveying, however,"AA哩个"can be used only in static repeat and conveying; Both "AA哩'' and "AA哩个"have humanistic character and humanistic attribute on pragmatic aspect.
