In Modern and Contemporary China, Qian Mu and Yu Yingshi are leading academics in the research of academic thought history of Qing dynasty. They researched academic thought form Song-Ming to Qing dynasties with the basic academic history position of Mei Zhuan Yi Jin(Advanced in the Turning) and inner logic. Mei Zhuan Yi Jin is the spirit In Qian Mu's research, He thought if Chinese academic can advanced in the turning, The Chinese Nation will create a new glory too. Yu Yingshi's main idea is Intellectualism. He believes that The Modern Confucianism should find new chance from its traditional thought of Dao Wen Xue. The Dao Wen Xue of Qing Dynasty is the new expression in the development process of Confucianism. Starting from this it can steps towards modernization. Qian Mu considered that Study of Classics and Historical in Qing Dynasty was came from Neo-Confucianism in the Song-Ming Dynasties in the whole Chinese Academic Thought. But there was lots of maladies when it turn to Textual Research in Qian-Jia. So he criticized Textual Research in Qian-Jia too much. Yu Yingshi studied the background in intellectual history of Textual Research in Qing Dynasty, he thinks there was a ceaseless tradition from Song-Ming to Qing Dynasty, and the Chinese Academic Thought developed at its own tradition in inner logic from Neo-Confucianism to Textual Research.Qian Mu considered that academic transformed along with the times, So he always combined political, social and cultural background in his research of Academic Thought History of Qing Dynasty. However, Yu Yingshi advocated the use of inner logic in the research of academic thought beside the external interpretations of political, economic, etc. Qian Mu used the traditional method of academic history. He hold a fundamental idea of distinguished the connotation and source of academic in research. Therefore he pay attention to both academic and social activities of scholars. But Yu Yingshi researched thought of scholars with historical and psychological method, to make up for the lack of traditional method. There was lots of comparative study in Qian Mu's research. Yu Yingshi often compares Chinese academic with Western academic, In this way, academic thought of Qing Dynasty will get a better understanding.Dai Zhen and Zhang Xuecheng lived at the time which Textual Research in Qian-Jia was prevailed. They are more improtent key figures in the turning of Academic Thought History of Qing Dynasty. Qian Mu considered that Dai Zhen and Zhang Xuecheng were great masters in the age of Qian-Jia. Yu Yingshi thinks Dai Zhen and Zhang Xuecheng were the two high peak during the developing process of the Academic Thought History in medium term of Qing Dynasty. There are more important in studying Academic Thought History of Qing Dynasty to researched Dai Zhen and Zhang Xuecheng's academic thought and the study style of Qian-Jia. This thesis want launches the elaboration from five aspects:The relationship between Dai Zhen and Zhang Xuecheng's academic thought. The developing process of Dai Zhen's academic thought. The relationship between Dai Zhen and philosophy. Zhang Xuecheng and the Zhe-dong academic thought tradition. Their criticisms to Zhang Xuecheng's academic thought. Studying Dai Zhen and Zhang Xuecheng's academic thought in Qian Mu and Yu Yingshi's research could help us to comprehend their research of Academic Thought History of Qing Dynasty.Their research have characteristics, commonness, and inheritance relationship. We can comprehend the turning process of academic from Qing Dynasty to Modern and Contemporary China by comparative study of Qian Mu and Yu Yingshi. We can also find the paradigm significance in their research, It will give us some inspiration for the research of Academic Thought History of China.
