Mainland Scholar' Study On The Post-Modern Historiography

Since the introduction of Postmodernism into the mainland, the debate on post-modern historiography in the history field has become a hot issue. The spread of post-modern historiography has come through three stages in China: the first stage , the gestation period or the period of enlightenment; the second stage ,the collision of modern history; the third stage, post-modern history being in-depth study. Overall, China is still in the basic academic stage. But research is gradually in-depth to a certain extent, and shows the depth and breadth.In the past 20 years, mainland scholars had a deep research on the availability of post-modern historical theory of value and the academic environment whether it would lead to historical nihilism and irrationalism and "Linguistic Turn"deconstruct the history of the objective truth of the key issues in-depth discussions, which achieved substantive results. However, while understanding the basic concepts of the post-modern history in the mind of scholars, we should also discuss and research theoretical reflection of the scholars and show the introduction of post-modern theory that Chinese scholars have begun to hold the "heretical" theory of tolerance mind, which is China's Xue Shu progress landmark event.It is this new, unprecedented type of discussion Paradigm of the existence of some fundamental problems, such as scholars in the post-modern historiography leads to the specific scholarly research, post-modern historiography on the formation of the ontological basis of social infrastructure enough so that people on issues arising from post-modern understanding of why not, which affects its acceptance and dissemination. Scholars on the formation of post-modern history of the epistemological basis are inadequate so that people can not consciously understand the emergence of post-modern history which is actually the new historical period, a further understanding of people's history. But even after the emergence of modern history it had ontological and epistemological basis, we can not ignore the limitations of their theory, if the lack of post-modern history of the limitations of fully rational, scientific analysis, cause the one hand, those who favor it mark with blindness, while opponents paranoid side. Although the post-modern itself is anti-rational characteristics, its analysis is that there must be adequate scientific and rational, objective and accurately grasp its limitations, it is more conducive to critical, communication and learning.Post-modern history, like any Western historian, translated over the imported goods in full compliance with China's reality is impossible, thus we can not drift along with copying, but the research should not be overlooked: First, for the theory at the international forefront of academic trends and hot issues, we must not only seriously, but also the level of research efforts to keep up with international standards. Without this, we can not talk, will be ridiculed as backward, more importantly, good learning opportunities will be lost. Second, neither the West or the East, as are all human society, after the development of human society is the road, even if there is a cultural difference, but still exists in common; the process of modernization from the West in modern times has been in the world. However, the scientific, rational analysis, rationality and the limitations of modern history, critically thinking of Western History learn the proper meaning of the current study, which will promote the theory of our history, as well as to promote the socialist modernization process have been greatly benefit.
