In the mythology age of the ancient Chinese society, Yellow Emperor is the cultural ancestor who starts Chinese civilization and he possesses the dualism of god-man. He has been admired and worshiped by the later generations because of his remarkable history contribution and glorious status. The myths of Yellow Emperor in the ancient books are abundant and complex. They are plaguy precious cultural heritage in the treasure-house of Chinese culture, and as an important part in Chinese classical myths.All along, the scholars have been analyzing the various cultural understanding about Yellow Emperor myths, from folk oral literature, religious customs to cultural anthropology, and promoting the researches on Yellow Emperor myths more deeply and broadly. Along with the popularity of the Baizu ceremony for Yellow Emperor's hometown in Xinzheng, the researches on Yellow Emperor are in boom. People research it from archeology, history, bibliography and religious studies to revert its historical reality.The spreading of Yellow Emperor myths in Xinmi region depends on the basis of its special physical geographic environment and the Zhenwei cultural background. Xinmi backs the Yellow River and borders on the Mount Song. It positions in the hinder land of the central plains in China with Zhen River and Wei River passing through. This Central Plain civilization is bred by both mountains and rivers and represents the classical local feature, which reflects the Central Plains'cultural spirit intensively. The distribution of the Yellow Emperor myths in Xinmi is closely related to the local natural environment and the historical sceneries. As a result, the intensive and abundant Yellow Emperor communities come into being. The five main regions are distributed separately into the eastern part, the central eastern part, the central part, the southern border and the northern part throughout Xinmi. The spreading and evolving of Yellow Emperor myths in Xinmi has its own characters. For instance, the myths may blend with history, Taoism and the local features, which is the general law of myths'spreading and evolving.This paper introduces Yellow Emperor's historical status and contribution, explains the myths in the ancient books and documents generally and analyzes Xinmi's geography, humanity and historical culture. The region in which the folk oral myths spread is divided in detail, the active folk myths are integral and real, which is undoubted in the local public. As the myths are closely related to the local historical interests, they present a more local cultural feature. The temple fairs connected with the myths display people's original faith, which also runs through the core of the myths. The Yellow Emperor temple fair evolved from the faith on Yellow Emperor enriches the local Yellow Emperor culture. The folk-custom fairs compose of the temple fairs' cultural multi-integrity and reflect the deep connotation of the folk culture with spirits of the ancient culture and Chinese culture in Yellow Emperor myths.This paper is divided into four parts:First part:introduces the original thinking of the paper, the explanation of Yellow Emperor and its myths and the overview of Xinmi County.Second part:the division and features of the region in which the Yellow Emperor myths spread.1.Xuanyuan Hill of Quliang town in the eastern part.2. Yellow Emperor temple of Liuzhai town in the central-eastern part.3. The border of the Juci Mountain in the southern part.4. Dawei town in the central part.5. The northern part of Xinmi.Third part:the folk custom and relique of the Yellow Emperor myths in Xinmi. The customs of the temple fair that come from the myths interpret its activities and analyze the features of the temple fair. This paper reveals the myths'ancient cultural features on the basis of mythology, analyzes the temple fair's multi-cultural connotation on the basis of folklore, displays Chinese traditional cultural spirit on the basis of culturology, all of which reveal the folk-custom's cultural life.Fourth part:Conclusion. Summarize the folkway culture that composed of the Yellow Emperor myths and relique, which are the root of Chinese culture.
