Chinese ceramic art has a history of 5000 years, appearance of art pottery can be dated back form4,500 years BC to 2500 BC in China. China had been able to produce very fine porcelain a thousand years before in people mastered porcelain technology in Europe. From the development history of ceramics in China, generally speaking, we can divide the word "ceramic" into two major types: pottery and porcelain. Accumulation of traditional Chinese culture has been unfolded in the ceramic art, showing very strong traditional culture. Traditional ceramic art reflects widely the social life of ours, the world state of human and people's appreciation of beauty. The performance of traditional ceramic art are mostly happy ,well-being and good fortune theme, and it connects with life-loving and the pursuit of happiness, harmony of traditional values in the nation. However, since the disruption of the development of modern Chinese culture, Western culture as the main aesthetic standards in the country has become popular, people have considering the Western art and design as the standard in a certain extent for a long time. In addition, with the gradual penetration of western industrial civilization and culture in China, the rich cultural resources of China's folk art is also gradually depleted, thus that have caused an imbalance in cultural ecology, the most serious consequence of this imbalance lets a number of national culture and artistic originality disappear. Diversity in the arts today, China's contemporary ceramic art design wants to integrate into the international modern design's large stage, and better exchange and communicate with the world's design community, we must speed up to know the international universal design language and excavate the depth of Chinese native graphic art, especially the graphic arts which rich in Minority Characteristics. So both can format a useful supplement to the local languages into the ceramic designs, thus can promote the development of contemporary ceramic design.With the continuous development of material civilization of mankind, the usefulness of traditional ceramics has gradually weakened and contemporary art of ceramic design possesses a dominant position. In the environment of international art and design which has a rising trend, how to create ceramics with national characteristics becomes a front research issue. Some contemporary ceramic experts begin to search a new way of artistic creation, and research folk art's changes, the result leads to the integration of folk art and contemporary ceramic culture. In the exploring aspects of contemporary ceramic art, more and more researchers have begun trying to integrate into the native language and this fully embodies the enhancement of Chinese local culture's self-awareness. China has vast territory and abundance, with thousands of years'long history and splendid culture, and fifty-six nationalities of their respective cultural and artistic characteristics composites unique native language. Study Chinese native language deeply for today's design of the development of ceramic art has a very far-reaching significance.Zhuang, as the largest minority in population of china, occupies an important position in the history of minorities, especially with the development of thousands of years it creates its own unique culture, especially in the creative activities of rock art, clothing, art and architecture's fields reflect its unique graphic arts language. Zhuang Jin art which has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage, the study of graphic arts Zhuang has a certain practical value and significance. This paper bases on Zhuang folk graphic arts (including architecture, painting, clothing, prehistoric excavated items of shape patterns, etc.), by analyzing , refining summaries of Zhuang folk graphic art in the form of art and aesthetic characteristics, and excavating its graphics Art's unique irreplaceable aesthetic values. Combined with the development of contemporary ceramics' background, the paper researches Zhuang graphic design in contemporary ceramics application prospect, and focuses on the unique aesthetic of the Zhuang ethnic group consciousness and mental grasp of aesthetic in line with development of the times, so that Zhuang' characteristics of graphic arts can fully applied to the design of contemporary ceramics and expand space for development of contemporary ceramics. The Nixing pottery in Qinzhou region, is a good case to apply nation picture to contemporary ceramic art, and the application of the Zhuang graphics makes the collapsing of one of China's four famous pottery(the Nixing pottery) out of the woods.The main innovation of this paper lies in linking local cultural background and art design creation and exploring the inherent laws of Zhuang, breaking the traditional theory of art and design aesthetic. The main contents of this thesis are Zhuang graphic art, which researched from decorative motifs and artistic design aspects of research. The author analyses the form elements and cultural background, reveals the composition of Zhuang graphic Arts rules and characteristics and applies their particular language to the graphic arts in contemporary ceramic art. The paper will supply useful references and new research ideas for decorative graphic arts for ethnic minority research and explore new study field for ceramic art's creation. The first chapter introduction mainly to start the definition of graphic arts, Refine graphic arts feature, and Exposit the application background of Zhuang folk graphic art exposition in contemporary ceramic art. The second chapter researches graphic arts Zhuang folk language features from two aspects (decorative patterns and forms). Chapter III deals with the status quo of contemporary ceramics and analysis of future trends in innovation. Chapter IV researches and analyses Zhuang graphic art in the design and styling aspects , and speculates the expected results of how it can be applied in the design of contemporary ceramic art. The conclusion of the article presents the future of graphic art in the contemporary trends in the use of ceramics in the study can be researched more specifically, more deeply.
