Study On Leihaizong's Historiography Achievement

Lei Haizong(1902——1962)was a renowned historian of modern China,he was famouse for promoting World History and"Viewpoint of Cultural Morphology". < Chinese Culture and Chinese Soldiers >,< Selected Readings of Chinese History >,< Western Cultural History Program >wrote by him are influential among scholars. The basis literature of this thesis are < Chinese Culture and Chinese Soldiers >,< Selected Readings of Chinese History >,< Western Cultural History Program >,and < Lei Haizong and 20 Century Chinese History——Mr. Lei Haizong Centenary Collection >. This thesis will do a more systematic study on Lei Haizong's achievements . I hope this study can explain that Lei Haizong made an important contribution to modern Chinese history . This thesis will give Lei Haizong's achievements an objective and fair evaluation,and give some reference on how to inherit and carry forward the excellent results of traditional Chinese contemporary history . Besides, this thesis will provide some useful suggest that how to train personnel,how to do historical research, and how to correct the impetuous wind of the academic. In addition to introduction and conclusion, this paper consists of four parts:The first part mainly summarize Lei Haizong's life and academic history. This part rationalize Lei Haizong's life and academic history, focus on the academic experiences that have a profound effect on Lei Haizong. Find out the underlying causes of Lei Haizong's historical thought.The second part will comment Lei Haizong's major works.This part will study < Chinese Culture and Chinese Soldiers >,< Selected Readings of Chinese History >,< Western Cultural History Program >,summarize the characteristics of the three books; With comparison, proposed induction Lei Haizong's superb views , lay a foundation for summarizing Lei Haizong's historical thought.The third part will evaluate Lei Haizong's historical thoughts. This part will analysis the ideas of history and history concept of Lei Haizong . The author analysis Lei Haizong's concept of social development,understanding of the dynamics of historical change when analysis his ideas of history. Analysis the object of historical research,history features,history function, historical methodology when analysis his history concept , summarize the characteristics of Lei Haizong's historical thought:it has a deep "cultural forms history" of the mark,with the overall concept to study the history,break the Rule of Thirds World History and Eurocentric,ignore the economic base the decision on the role of the superstructure, "theme first".The fourth part will evaluate the status and influence of Lei Haizong's historical achievement. This part will describe the impact that Lei Haizong's books,thoughts do that time and later. The author think that Lei Haizong's historical achievement promoted the development of Humanism in Modern China,promoted the development of Chinese World History,Created Chinese "Culture History"; Contemporary, Lei Haizong's historical achievement also had a significant impact, not only expanded the History of Cultural Forms, and opened up new areas and new directions of historical research.In short, Lei Haizong is a historian on Chinese and Western, his work has distinctive features .The Achievements section on both the essence and dross, We should treat them differently when regard his torical achievement.The essence must be carried forward , the dross shoud be taken to be a lesson.
