Neo-mysticism with the New Age movement is sweeping the whole world. The myth has become an important driving force and resources of worldwide cultural industries. The restatement of myth , which a large-scale literature composition and publishing activity, was sponsored by Canongate Press in 2005.Chongqing Publishing House has published many works so far, including Penelopiad by Atwood, Weight by Winterson, Binu, the Myth of Meng Jiang Nv by Chinese writer Su Tong, Houyi, the Myth of Houyi and Chang E by Ye Zhaoyan, Renjian ,the Myth of Lady White Snake by Li Rui, and theoretical writings A Short History of Myth by Armstrong.Margarat Atwood, known as"Queen of Canadian literature", is one of Canadian authoresses who enjoy the international reputation. Atwood has always been exposure to the wave of women's liberation movement and grasped the strongest voice of her own time. Her works focus on the theme ,the women how to understand and protect themselves. The penelopiad parodies the classical epic Odyssey. In the novel, Penelope and her maids are the voice keeper, who subvert the well-known story told by men. Atwood asked us two questions. What lead the maids to death? Which role does Penelope play?Su Tong is a well-known contemporary Chinese writer. He is famous for a series of unique image of women in his works. But he is not a feminist. Su Tong selected the legend of Meng Jiang Nv , which is"very Kafka", as the theme in the restatement of myth. He reduced the story by the myth way and reduced the text to a folk philosophy. The paper attempts to do comparative study in the way of text reading. It is divided into four parts, including creative background and writing strategies, the reality that writer takes care, the image of women in the works, and aesthetic pursuit. In the study, I try to find out the differences of the wisdom in solving the crisis of faith and harsh realities problems between Chinese and foreign authors.
