Natural Sense Of Chinese Sculpture

The Chinese-style natural consciousness in sculpture is to open up a way of traditional culture in the sculpture arts. That means to find a new way in sculpture art under the theoretical guidance of the ideology of human and nature for thousands of years (harmony between man and nature). This is what I have been seeking and pursuing since I entered the university. Chinese-style natural consciousness in sculpture is to create a new type of sculpture art language form. Under the guidance of traditional Chinese thinking and human's philosophical theory of the cognitive style of nature, the form is created through the combination of the modes of expression of modern sculpture language and sculpture materials language. The new form has developed its own artistic style by absorbing the expression way of expressing emotions through towards something of poetry, traditional Chinese painting. It also has combined the traditional art measures and the language of materials and style in sculpture.It breaks the traditional approach of employing human characters as major language carrier in traditional sculpture and uses sculpture art language that focuses a lot on mountains, water, flower, birds, scenery and environment. It borrows ideas from Chinese arts that are greatly influenced by Chinese natural consciousness, such as poetry, traditional painting, calligraphy, landscape garden, bonsai and construction of Chinese style. From them, it learns the expression ways of using something to express emotions and the style of Chinese natural consciousness. We can learn the theory and styles of Chinese painting, thinking the special expression ways of using something to express emotions of some poetry of mountains, water, land and farms, and combine it with the entity of sculpture and sculpture language. Thus, the sculpture will have the color, composition and technique of writing of painting, while the paintings will also have the feeling of third dimension. It is also a good way to let sculpture absorb and borrow ideas from the other art forms (i.e. art forms developed under the influence of Chinese natural consciousness). Their art language, expression ways and artistic idea can be taken by sculpture. Therefore, sculpture art can carry emotions and convey ideas in the way of the implicit nature law.Thus, sculpture art will be more nationalized, more localized. Every Chinese will understand and feel the virtual and idea of sculpture art by then.The populization of art is also good for art to better convey its ideas. This creates a new sculpture language through the combination of sculpture with the other art forms and enriches the scope of sculpture art.
