The Research On Niu Baolin's Singing Art

Niu Baolin, a Chinese class A actor, fomous tenor, taking Shanxi folk songs full of the Yellow River's love as his materials, accumulated rich art treasure and formed his special art style. Based on his performance, he created his own vacal music teaching system, fostered large numder of great persons for Shanxi vocal music field, and made great contribution to the inheritance and development of Shanxi folk songs. This thesis, taking Niu Baolin as the target and his performance and teaching practice as the base, researched his art activities totally, combed his vocal course, analyse his singing and performing style and summerize his art achievements and experiences.The thesis contains three parts.In Part I, the author declared Niu Baolin's art life. There are good musical background in Shanxi and it trained a large number of singers here. As a Shanxi-born person, Niu Baolin gorwed to be a great singer helped with the Yellow River culture and Shanxi folk songs and passed through a colorful art way confidently. There are four components in Part I. First, Niu Baolin's art enlightenment during his childhood, this part states mainly his influeme from his family and his early dream.Second, his hard art reseaech, introducing his life experiences from an soldier to an art learner in Shanghai. Third, being a catcher of the Yellow River culture, Niu Baolin has showed his deeply love to it and his spiritual height after reaching highest spot of an artist by taking his classical performance to Shanxi folk songs as example.Since eighth decade of the twentieth century. Forth, rich art achievements, summerizing his art success.In Part II, the author described Niu Baolin's research on performing practice. Niu Baolin formed his special charming singing style by inheriting the tradition of Chinese opera, learning from folk musics, referring scientific western vocal methods, and respecting regional aesthetic sentiment. The following can prove this:strong love to the Yellow River, showing special regional feature of Shanxi folk songs:different sound expression---sweet tone: creating live images successfully and being good at learning and using methods from opera perfomance.In Partâ…¢, the author discussed Niu Baolin's teaching method research. Niu Baolin spent more than 30 years to teach during his art life and he concluded from his performance focused on training students in personal voice. To promote the instrumentalized viacal theory and so he formed his own teaching ideal, enriched and developed national vocal teaching theory.Then caming to the conclusion:Niu Baolin, being the pride of Shanxi folk songs, declared the highest spirit of an artist with his art practice and made great contribution to developing and enriching Chinese natioanl vocal music careers by forming special performing style of calssical Shanxi folk songs.
