From ancient to modern times, the researches of Historical Records are innumerable. These all present a well-informed and profound culture of Historical Records from various angle. However, there are few theses studying from the view of virtue. Virtue can enlighten society and educate the masses. The Historical Records highlights human-centered model. It involves all characters from every classes and professions and reveals many aspects of human nature, especially the virtue. As the head of the imperial biographies, Wudi highlights the significance of imperial's example meaning; The House of Wu Taibo which is the head of 30 aristocratic families, and Boyi Tales which is in the famous 70 Biographies, notably stress the virtue of handing over countries. Moreover, Historical Records extols a variety of virtues:imperial virtue; feudal princes'virtue; subjects'virtue, etc. Among these virtues, it highlights the humanity of the noble morality particularly, that is virtue. Then put these virtues into their social background to analyze with related theories and research methods of history, ethics and sociology. The content of virtue includes patriotic, noble, honest, thrifty, tolerance, integrity, etc. As it were, we can conclude that these virtues embody the morals of Sima Qian, which are the summary of the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation. Historical Records record history from the ancient hangdi to emperor wudi. This period is the formation times of Chinese traditional virtues. After a long time'historical accumulation, the Historical Records finally become an important part of national virtue.
