Study On The Internet Addiction Among Adolescent Students

Objective:To confer the Internet Addiction standards for China's national conditions.To know the prevalence of Internet Adduction Disorder and Internet Adduction Tendency among the adolescent students in urban districts in Tianjin.To evaluate the relationship between Internet Addiction and behavior type A of young students.To investigate the detection rate of IAD or IAT and the degree of depression,anxiety and self-conscious symptoms of IAD or IAT cases in adolescent students,and analyze its related factors.Based on the result, the targeted intervention suggestion was put forward and the intervention assessment was offered.Methods:The students from 9 schools in Tianjin including university:college, special secondary school, high school, junior high school by systemic stratified random sampling was investigated with questionnaire designed by ourselves.To analysis by using self assessment system and SPSS 11.5.Results:The students online≥4 hours was used as one of IA diagnosis.Among the internet contents,chatting is the most,second,the downlording the songs and playing the games.After weighing case,the detection rates of IAD and IAT were 6.92% and 11.78%.The detection rates of boys(IAD 9.50%,IAT 14.47%) were higher than the girls'(IAD 4.17%,IAT 8.96%).The results showed the prevalent rates of IAD and IAT in students with behavior type Aand type sub-Awere significantly higher than those in students with behavior typeM,type sub-Band type B.After weighing cases by power only on learning stage,the positive rates of IAD were higher in students with behavior type A(8.87% in high school students,11.11%in college students) than those in students with typeM(7.77%,7.81%) and type B(4.35%,4.44%).The results showed that the Family harmony (QR=0.645),good personal education achievement (OR=0.320),and sports participation (OR=0.808) were the protective factors,while the Family member accident(OR=1.324), subsidization(OR=1.279),performance expectations of parents (OR=1.472)were the risk factors for IA in adolescent students. The level of depression and anxiety becomes more serious with the degree of internet addiction.IA is closely related to mental health of adolescent students,16 self-conscious-symptoms had positive correlation with the degree of IA.Conclusion:The IA has close relationship with mantel health and behavior type A of students.The detection rate of students at special technical secondary school was the highest,the rate of boys is obviously higher than the girls'.IAD is related to Good Family economic conditions,Family harmony,Family member accident,Performance expectations of parents,Student achievement,Participation in sports and other factors; IAT is related to the Education level of mother,Subsidization,Student achievemen, Participation in sports and other factors.Therefore, we recommended the long-term comprehensive intervention mechanism of social interchange combined with Cognitive and behavioral therapy,psychological intervention and drug treatment,compulsory detoxification and encourage and guide,individual education and peer influence,family therapy and school care.To constantly sum up intervention, to improve measures and to curb the rising trend of IA by using the epidemiological methods.
