Yuan Haowen's Inheritance And Development Of The Northern Song Dynasty Poetics

The subject of this thesis is Yuan Haowen's inheritance and development of the Northern Song Dynasty poetics. Jin Literature was deeply affected by the Northern Song Dynasty Literature,as the so-called "Su Huang prevailed in the North". Yuan Haowen as the most accomplished writers of the times, his own poetic theory contains strict thought on the Northern Song Dynasty poetics, the thought contains both the inheritance of the Northern Song Dynasty poetics and the reasonable development.Affected by the Neo-Confucianism , Song writers on the one hand make focus on social responsibility, concern for the fate, advocacy Kindness, on the other hand pay attention to internal cultivation ,seeing of bright heart and disclosing being, respect for nature dull. In the field of performance poetry, Song emphasized that poetry should be "honest", required to recite poetry of disposition to assume the author's political mission,also Song began the pursuit of plain poetry of nature,and expressed idea of natural inaction,the natural poety first need widely adopted by the ancient Chinese study hard, than create a seemingly simple but actually complex art. Du Fu's loyalty and integrity, profound artistic skills,Tao Yuanming's in harmony with the rest of the world and his nature poetry were all models of Northern Song poet. So Yuan Haowen On Poetry, stressed the "natural" "Classic Elegance", raising the "Learning As for the non-science", emphasized poetry's honesty, praised Tao Yuanming Du Fu,all succeeded to varying degrees the characteristics of Northern Song Dynasty Poetics.Yuan Haowen's development of the Northern Song Dynasty poetics including of stressed describe true feelings ,use plain or simple language,and respected tang poems. The reason were: Song Poetry stressed that "not vulgar",resulted in poetry deliberately seeking new ideas , people writed poems with Comments, emphasis on learning foundation and ,parade knowledge in poems. They ignored the fact that social life is the only source of poetry. Jiangxi School of Poetry pick up phrases from antiquity, using too much literary allusion, appears to be lifeless and inanimate. Jin Poetry inherited this , seeking novelty, lack of true feelings,have more obvious defects. Facing the truth Yuan Haowen stressed describe true feelings. It is different from the Song of cultivation due to the focus and emphasized the natural plain, Yuan Haowen is trying to change the unhealthy pursuit of novel ,under the influence of Song dynasty neo-Confucianism, Song poems focus on the moral consciousness of people within. But Yuan Haowen believe in traditional Confucianism, he attached importance to the social role of poetry,so as to make poems play a role of "Thick human relations, Help folk customs " . Song writer strive to create its own characteristics outside of the Tang, developed the characteristics of the formation of bones and reasonable thought. Extremes meet, they had crafted, sharp new tasteless ills. The reason why Yuan Haowen respected tang poems is that he want correct mistakes of Song by Learning Tang. So that is also his's development of the Northern Song Dynasty poetics.In short, when Yuan Haowen study Song poetry ,he can reject the dross and assimilate the essence according to the needs of the times and the characteristics of the poem itself.He made a positive contribution on the healthy development of the Jin and Yuan poetry.
