This paper discusses the development of ethnic relationship of De'ang since 1949 from the aspects of political, economic and cultural. Compared the ethnic relationship between De'ang and other ethnic groups before the establishment of the People's Republic of China, it has become increasingly open, especially since reform and opening up. Before the establishment of the PRC, the central government to ruled De'ang thought Dai chieftain, so the politics economic, cultural of De'ang were in the subsidiary position of the Dai, and the ethnic relation was inequality and closing. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the whole society of De'ang has great changes, which caused the changes of ethnic relations in various fields.Firstly, from the political point of view, De'ang is in an equal position with other nations, and participants in politics as a political identity of the People's Republic of China. Compared with the political relations before the founding of the PRC and after, it has changed both in nature and pattern.Secondly, from an economic point of view, on the one hand, after the economic marketization, division expands gradually, and the dependence of the economic development strengthened gradually, the family unit, self-sufficient, closed production mode of De'ang have been broken, and formed an interdependence relationship with other ethnic groups. With the economic development of De'ang, population flow gradually frequently, which hew out new geographic space for ethnic relationship. On the other hand, close economic exchanges more and more closely, while the economic differences are also increasingly obvious, which brought new problems to the national relationship, such as disputes in the land, mountain forest resources.Thirdly, from the cultural aspects, before the founding of the People's Republic, the culture of De'ang was affected by Dai culture and had the features of "Dai". After the founding of the People's Republic of China, with the popularization of Chinese, mass media and the broken of closed the geographical and cultural environment, De'ang came into contact with other ethnic culture increasingly, this also caused changes in traditional culture, which reflects the adjustment with other ethnic relations.This paper takes the De'ang ethnic group in Snataishan town in Luxi, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province as an example, preliminary discusses the ethnic relations since 1949 from the political, economic and cultural relations.
