Comparisions And Contrasts Between Xiao Tong's Literary Theory And Literary Practice

ZhaoMing Prince XiaoTong, as an important litterateur in the history of literature in China, organized the compilation of"WenXuan",which set a specialized model named "selective course". Although most specific contexts of"WenXuan"are researched nowadays, XiaoTong's poem are rarely referenced in literature field. As the master of DongGong literature organization, his"WenXuan"and his theory, which emphasized the development of literature and was considered as classic and elegance, influenced the trend in his age. However, XiaoTong's literary creation did not make significant achievement. The characteristic of similarity and difference between his literary theory and literary practice was definitely affected by the contemporary social climate, family culture, religious belief, personality, political status, as well as destiny.
