Confucius inherited other's thoughts, and developed Confucian ethics on core thought REN and ideal personality-gentleman. Confucius borrowed the old notion—gentleman, connected the requests of time, created new meaning. He made it as himself ideal personality, as the undertaker of Pre-Qin Confucian ethics. This new design of ideal personality produced great power of live and attraction. The Confucius ideal personality also deeply influenced later Confucian and Chinese traditional ethics. This paper will study the design,meaning,influence of personality , and try to find its value for today.This first part of the article examines the era of Confucius, in which he has the background and theoretical preparation. Confucius faced with a disorderly time. For the historical responsibility of the individual, he tried to create a new doctrine to re-orient people's thinking and behavior, to restore social order.
