When the world become more and more consistent, the unique local culture is not only to be appreciated but also to be consumed. In recent years, some countries invariably made the cultural development strategy as the core of regional development strategies and leading strategy, and "cultural industries" became the pillar industries of national economy in many countries. In recent years, we have witnessed the emergence of cultural tourism, and demonstrated its enormous development prospects and the important position in the community economy in the future. As a tourism product, it can meet consumer needs, and insinuate the local region with unique cultural features, therefore, the design of tourism products should be based on the regional culture to extract and apply the most attractive part in the regional culture for the creative product design.Through the research to the Western tradition graph in the application of the modern tourism products, this article finds their inner connection and attempts to combine these two element forms, so that the two promote each other, which helps to explore and develop the modern tourism products; is also beneficial to cover the shortage in the region and culture convey of the existing tourism products, and extend the promotion of related products.Here is the outline of this paper:first, to introduce social and cultural development background of the research, and research motivation, purpose and significance, and to define the concept of discourse, then, to expound the typical representative of the traditional western Hunan graphics, and describe the origin and development of the Western Hunan Tujia brocade, dyeing and Miao embroidery in detail, exploring its history and the process of development and so on. Second, from the form and surface characteristics of the traditional Western Hunan graphics, combining folklore, sociology and aesthetics of the relevant content, to explore the analysis on the spirit of Western culture, traditional graphics features, modern values and heritage in the modern arts and crafts development, to find ways for the traditional Western Hunan forms of traditional art graphics in the application of modern commodities, developing ways. Finally, the author describes the participation of an industrial design innovation from the Hunan Province as an international platform for planning the design theme of the design practice of project activities, and the design process, design methods and design achievement, and to continue to improve the local design system.
