Whether to admit "the intrinsic value" in nature or not constitutes the essence of the divergence between anthropocentrism and physiocentrism. The relationship between human and nature is that of the unity of opposites. This relationship reveals itself in reality in the distribution of rights and obligations between human and nature. Human activities serve as the bridge as well as the bond between the intrinsic value of nature and the constructing of the relationship between human and nature. These activities also stand as a key to understand the relationship between the theory and the relation of human and nature. The intrinsic value of nature lead us to its rights in the legal sense, however, the environmental law with is made to ensure the realization of its rights and further protect them.Through the analysis of the theories of anthropocentrism and physiocentrism, the paper criticizes the deficiency and the one-sidednessof the two theories and further reveals the essence of the intrinsic value of nature and its generating process. It shows that the intrinsic value of nature is the outcome of analyzing the value in a practical way. The essence of the intrinsic value is actually the fact reflected and projected by the values of human. Through the critique of the two theories and the analysis of the intrinsic value theory, we maintain that we should stick to the value of the unity of opposites on the part of the relationship between human and nature. The paper takes a starting point from the relationship between human and nature and the intrinsic value of nature and human activities giving a description of the rights of nature and its objectivity. It concludes that the environmental law should ensure the realization of the rights of nature thus resolving the questions which has been in argument for a long time. For example, whether the environmental ethics can provide the useful references for the law of environment or whether the environmental law can adjust the relationship between human and nature and how. The paper reveals the important role of environmental ethics in the construction of environmental laws and the study of environmental laws.
