The Study On Design Of Chinese Traditional Wood Planed Tools

This paper,starting with Chinese traditional wood planed tools,probes into the design philosophy in ancient China.In this paper,combs the history line of the research of Chinese traditional wood planed tools through studing some typical artifacts,such as:adze,plane and so on.This paper analyzes the design consciousness and development logic of traditional wood planed tools.It is trying to analyze the basic principles of the modern design art unfolded from these. The purpose of the paper is to study how to design actually. These items should be taken into consideration: what's the target users need in certain cases; How about technical conditions that to realize the design; what extent the existing design has achieved. The key of the paper is how to hold these three items at macro level in specific design.The paper is composed by five chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces significance of selecting the topic, the research contents and methods, and the general situation of the research.The second chapter clarifies the conception:Chinese traditional wood planed tools;and reviews the history of the development and evolution of planing wood tool and the causes of its diversification.The third chapter chooses the classic documentation,several research aspects are analyzed ,such as: strcture, function, material and so on;and explore traditional wood planed tools' design features.The forth chapter analyzes the design consciousness and development logic of traditional wood planed tools.The fifth chapter is the conclusion .It finds the real meaning of design philosophy in ancient China.The thought can provide some guidance to modern design.This research expects an extensive application by designers of its discovery and exploration of principles of "the design philosophy in ancient China" in order to help them come up with more products meeting needs of markets.
