A Survey In Labor Mutual Aid Of Countries In Northwestern Shanxi In 1930s And 1940s

In 1930s and 1940s, labor mutual aid movement was raised by the Chinese Communist Party (the CCP) throughout Northwestern Shanxi in the scene of loess, revolution and the Japanese invasion. To make a survey of labor mutual aid in Northwestern Shanxi during this period is very important for resolving extra labor forces in today's countries. The thesis makes the development course of labor mutual aid movement as the clue to discuss stages of labor mutual aid movement in Northwestern Shanxi in 1930s and 1940s comprehensively and systematically.The thesis is divided into eight segments. The preface is mainly about definitions of the concept envolved in the thesis, the current researching level, research skills, the aim and significance of this thesis. The text of the thesis includes six chapters. Chapter Two narrates characteristics and deficient about the old forms of labor mutual aid before powers of the CCP came into Northwestern Shanxi. Chapter Three mainly refers to the real facts of labor mutual aid in Northwestern Shanxi in the periods of Anti-Japanese War and Liberation War. It can be divided into three stages. The first stage is from the time Northwestern Shanxi anti-Japanese democratic government was established to the publication of Mao Zedong's Organizing in November 29th,1943. It can be called the original stage of labor mutual aid movement. The second stage is from 1944 to 1945. It can be called the developed stage of labor mutual aid movement. The third stage is from 1946 to 1949. It can be called the declined stage of labor mutual aid movement. Chapter Four states forms of labor mutual aid in Northwestern Shanxi under the leadership of the CCP and its creations and developments. Chapter Five, the most important part of this thesis, is mainly about the organization and management problems of labor mutual aid, such as principles of organizing, styles of leadership, ways of counting labor power, exchanging labor power, returning labor power and saving of labor power and its usage. Chapter Six not only analyses deviations of organizing labor mutual aid simply, but also discusses the process that it was corrected and approaches of solving. Chapter Seven deals with political performance, martial performance, social performance of labor mutual aid except for its productive performance. The last segment, conclusion, is a fully summary of success and deficient of labor mutual aid in Northwestern Shanxi in 1940s, and also its historical experiences to today's resolving of problems of agriculture, peasants and countries.
