The Investigation And Study Of Shan Dong Haiyang Yangge

Haiyang Yangge, known as Haiyang Great Yangge and is also known as"singing Yangge","running Yangge","dancing Yangge","funny Yangge"in the local dialect. It is popular in Haiyang, Rushan (now is part of Weihai City) of the Shandong Peninsula,especially in Haiyang, so it is called Haiyang Yangge. As a square art form, it combines song and dance drama with a simple plot and singing and dancing opera.Haiyang Yangge stemmed from the Western Zhou, founded in Ming dynasty, bloomed in Qing dynasty and flourished until now because it adopted public advantages during the process of its development. Based on the self-sufficient peasant economy, it produced and formed and of course its form integrates the performances of other provinces. It is found that its performance form preserves some historical remains, for example, the concept of feudal clan in late Qing dynasty, the civilization reform in Min Republic, the revolution in the Anti-Japanese War, and political, economic and cultural impact after the founding of new China. Until now, it is in a transitional stage that is to be explored, studied, and to be sublimated.As an integrated form, Haiyang Yangge includes props dance, playing figures, folk plays and other performance form with rich performance subject and well-organized team. Of course, it integrates ancient and modern plays and the number is so many that different kinds of audiences can enjoy it.Compared to Jiaozhou Yangge, the ritual and entertainment of Haiyang Yangge have great differences due to different geographical position and the local business cultures although both of them are in Jiaozhou peninsula.As the Haiyang municipal government has paid more attention to the Haiyang Yangge, the team becomes stronger and the performance level has great improved. In 2006, Haiyang Yangge was listed the first batch intangible cultural heritage by the State Council, but there is still plenty work to complete for us now.Based on the previous studies, the thesis combines with the local documents and some materials obtained from field survey to make a further study from the survival of the state, the development tread, art features, scripts and contemporary situation of the Haiyang Yangge. At last, the author sums up the artistic value and cultural value and puts forward the feasible protection measures to hope that more and more attention should be paid to Haiyang Yangge.
