The Study On The Ancient Ferries Of The Middle Reaches Of The Yellow River

The Yellow River is the mother river of Chinese nation, the'drainage area of the Yellow River is one of the earliest birthplaces of Chinese civilization.In the period of the history, the ancient ferry played a pivotal role in the communication between the people on the two sides of the Yellow River.Therefore, the study on the ancient ferrry of the Yellow River not only can recover the historical conditions of the ancient ferries,but also can reflect the historical situations of the surrounding areas,what's more, it can aslo provide reference to the current economic development and protection of the ancient ferries.The article has mainly studied the historical distributed condition, the historical prosperity and decline and the value of the ancient ferries of the middle reaches of the Yellow River.For the different conditions of the different sections, the ancient ferries shows three kinds of different distributed characteristics of space, that is, the Jinshan Grand Canyon section is sparser, the small northern main current to the Sanmen Strait and Mengjin to Taohuayu are both denser, also with many famous ferries. The cause which leads to this kind of differences includes the historical physical geographical factors and the human geographical factors.Meanwhile, the article also discusses the characteristics of the time distribution of the middle reaches of the Yellow River. That is,before the Qing Dynasty,the ferries continued growth in the number and size, but since the late Qing Dynasty, they gradually became weaker.These changes were closely related with the development of the social system and productivities.Then,this article has inspected the ancient ferries of Xikou Qikou,Pujin, Maojin,Mengjin and Yumen emphatically,these ancient ferries are the typical representatives of the different sections, and the miniature of the historical geographical conditions of these sections. These ancient ferries witnessed the historical development and changes of the middle reaches of the Yellow River.Thirdly, this article has elaborated the several historical geographical values of the ancient ferries of the middle reaches of the Yellow River from economy, military and politics macroscopically.these ancient ferries have made great contribution on the development of Chinese history.Finally,the article has discussed that these ancient ferries produceed a great impetus to the development of the town of the area of the Yellow River and also discussed about the current values of the tourism of these ferries.
