Study On The Mechanism Of Formation And Development Of Contemporary Arts District In Beijing

Beijing has created more than 30 art districts since 1980s. Beijing artist settlement patterns are already visible. Artists move into the city ruins, urban fringe, and even the quiet suburban village. As the artists entered, the local economic was developed, the vitality of the region was activated, urban look was updated. In sharp contrast to this is that the Government removes and rebuild some areas to arouse the city's energy which can drive the regional economic development but very often backfire. Therefore, the artist village on the city's success led to activation of urban planners and architects. Today, many art districts is facing demolition. In this context to Study the formation and development of the artist settlement mechanism is necessary.Based on an arts district visits and research, to master a large number of first‐hand information, the author do a panoramic description at the beginning. Summarizes the distribution of the arts district and on the basis of the artist village on the main role of the participating artists eventually come to Beijing's emergence and development of mechanisms for settlement. Since then, I selected one of the settlements‐ CaoChangDi art district to do deep discussion of how the artist settlement mechanism run and find the conclusions about urban renewal. And at the end of the paper ,the author ensure good performance of the artist village development mechanism and give a prerequisite.
