Study On Asset Restructure Of Corps' State-owned Agribusiness In Xinjiang

Corps' agricultural and pastoral farms are essentially state-owned agribusiness, which are organized in a special way. During the last four decades, they have played an important role in developing, building, guarding and consolidating the frontier, and meanwhile they themselves have also made great progress. With the establishment of the socialist market economic system and the deepening of reform and open policy throughout China, some problems, such as inefficient asset operation, low economic benefits and high total liabilities ratio, to name just a few, arise in the development of these farms. In this paper, according to the general theory of asset restructure and the basic features of corps' farms, a positive study on the current situation of these farms' assets and their operation efficiency was made. Based on the results, the factors of decreasing the assets operation efficiency of these farms was found. They mainly include: the limitation of their industrial system, the low level of agricultural industrialization, the shortage of incurrent assets and some natural factors, such as atrocious weather, etc. In order to improve the operation efficiency of assets, a positive study on the assets restructure of the corps' farms was also made. And finally a new model of assets restructure and some corresponding policies was put forward.
