The Chinese people have had a hard course to find a right way to realize modernization. At last they put reformation and open policy into effect, and promoted planned economy to socialist market economy, he pattern of institutional transition had Chinese features because of our different national conditions. Firstly, our country carried out radical reformation, which is partial and consective. In our country, the new system and old system isn' t contradictory but have both at the same time, and also there* s continuity in them-. All these features decided that the change must take two-system policy into effect, secondly the institutional transition and social transformation took place at the same time, which is also another feature in the period of institutional transition.Of course, the social reformation which had changed the Chinese social apparance greatly also formed a series of problems, which included material and benefical contradiction , offical and publical contradiction .. ethic contrary and different valuable system contradiction. Although all these contradictions had different and particular causes, they connected with the era in which the planned economy to social market economy. We can't neglect their negative effects to social stability, no matter the feeling of relative expropriation which formed by the unfair apporprition or the rising life pressure of going off sentry duty, which all brought new unstableelements to Chinese society. It' s the urgentest task for us to deal with the social contradiction in the period of institutional transition. We must establish the following basic thinking:(1) Hold firmly to the basic line----one centre and two basic keys; (2) Establisha political leading group and goverment manager organization which had a high level of authority; (3) Deepen reformation and fasten the establishment of new system. To maintain the social stability, a series of social system should be establish, it includes the benefical system, the social control system* the social supervision system and the unemployment insurance system. Ina word, to solve a series of social contradiction, we must make more progress. The true essence of the stability is that we advanced the progress just according to the stability and to establish the strong material guarantee and extensive social basic.
