Study On The Development Of Belt Urban Group Along The Up-stream Of Yellow River

Urban, as the carriers of life-type with the most intensive human activities and most advanced ways have been tending to group together in the earth抯 surface space. Based on the variety of compound connections, such regions of concentrated urban evolve an organic system-srban group, which is characterized by taking the central urban as cores, ranking in the order of importance, and division of labor with coordinate working. Urban group and Megalopolis, Desakota, Metropolitan Interlocking Region is common in developed countries and coastal areas in east of China. However, because the regional compound superiority band is existing in some places inside the developing areas, there are such urban group with distinctive characters and relatively strong functions existing. There is a special embryonic form of the structure of urban group having been developed in the up-stream regions along the Yellow River in west of China. It refers to the belt urban group extending 1400KM owing to abundant water, resource of the Yellow River, consummate transportation large population and relatively developed economy. Based on delimiting its boundary and examining its developing conditions, firstly, the regional urbanization of the belt complex of urban group along the up-stream of the Yellow River is studied and detected, then, the forming process and mechanism of urban, as well as its complex are analyzed, besides, the special structure and developing conception of urban group are discussed. Its basic special organic character is chain embedded structure of three cities?economic zones. However, at present, it is only existing in the form of suppositional chain. On the background of western development, depending on the guarantee with sustainable using of the Yellow River's water resource and the transportation corridor formed by fast convenient transport installations. If the government can speed up the construction of economic zones and give consideration to the development of outer joins at the same time, a belt special combined structure of urban group with strong function of radiationand high level of social economic development will evolve in west of China. It is based on the fast inter-flow of social economy, culture and information between cities and cities and between cities and regions, and it is characterized by ties of water resource and fast transportation corridor, diversity of culture and natural surroundings, and individuality of social economy.
