The US-EU relationship is still very important after cold war. The changes of their relationship are mainly embodied in politics, security, economy and foreign policies. The US wants to keep his hegemony after cold war and have EU under his control. But EU decides to be self-reliant and independent after the Soviet-Union, their common enemy disappeared. Meanwhile, it deepens the integration of EU. EU can take advantage of this chance to catch up with U.S. After the analysis of the changes of US-EU relationship after cold war, we can predict the trend of the US-EU relationship in the future. They will have many controversies and disputes, yet they will never separate. China should contact with U.S.and EU abiding by Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.
