Studies On The Modern Fujian Private Industry During The Period Of The Republic Of China

Industry is an important part of the national economy and research into the history of industry is one of the principal subjects in the research field of the history of economy .Therefore,research into the history of industry is of practical significance.Academic circles at home and abroad have made imnumerable achievements in the studies over the history of modern Chinese industry .However,studies on the history of modern Fujian industry are comparatively weak. Under the guidance of the ideology of dialectical materialism and by the means of calculation,induction,analysis and so on ,the thesis discusses the situations, features and reasons of the development and decline of Fujian private industry during the period of the Republic of China(1912-1949).The stagnancy and underdevelopment of modern Fujian private industry resulted from imperialist invations,feudal oppressions ,turbulent political situations,frequency of wars and so on.It experienced a tortuous process of development,decline,recory and decline againe and was characterized by small scales ,little capital,low technical level and mechanization ,unbalanced rates between light and heavy industry,uneven regional distribution and serious dependence upon the outside world.However,it still made contributions to the industrializtion of Fujian and the development of Fujian modern economy.
