Today, the principal condition of developing integrated national power is the improvement of technology, and one of the important means of advancing technology is venture capital. As a unadvanced country it should be taken into account that if venture capital can be developed and how to develop it. In macroeconomic aspect the author analysis the important of developing venture capital in China and supply some corresponding strategies and measures. Firstly, the paper summarize the status of venture capital in China and other countries. Secondly, a new definition of modern venture capital is defined, and some radical features are abstracted which contain the macro and micro. Based on the definition and features, the paper conclude that modern venture capital should be developed in China but within limits.
