Research To Corporation Culture Reconstruction Of Power Plants

The view of value and the concept of morality within a certain enterprise is the principal motivation that will lead all of its business activities, and therefore, they are key points that will affect the forever competition capability. Nowadays, more and more attentions are being paid on constructing and re-constructing of enterprise's culture.At the beginning of this dissertation, I explained the concept of enterprise culture and its essence, core, structure, character and trait. Following it, these topics are introduced, including the situation of China's enterprises' culture, the different behaviors of the eastern enterprise culture and the western enterprise culture which come from the different culture systems, obstacles faced by China's enterprises during the process of enterprise cultures' building, how to build own enterprises culture in the trend of economic globalization taking the factors of national culture and traditional culture into accounting, and some problems we probably encounter. Then I analyzed the current situation of china's independent electric power plants (so-called generators' culture). For many years this culture was a policy leading culture because of the shortage of electric power supply, the specialties of electricity industry, administrative requirement and mission for safety of electric power supply. But with the transform of management system from monopoly plan model to competitive market model in electric power industry, the circumstance and ways of management and administration have changed dramatically. The value system featured with depending on government's policy, plan and decision in the past lost its position and has been replaced by self-decision of power supply. At the same time, the mission of "providing satisfied service for consumers and supplying well qualified and clean electric power for society" should be performed by generators from "have to" model to "must" model - a kind of self constrain behavior with the transform from monopoly to competition. The condition of that electric power supply is more than demand would force generators switch their management ways from extensive model to fine model, and this would definitely bring to relevant changes in view of management, traditional work way and practical technology. So, we can draw a conclusion safely, that is, within the changing and changed greatly electric power industry, generators have to re-construct their enterprise cultures, these will concern the change from requirement to motivation in management and the change from passive behavior to initiative behavior in the staffs knowledge refreshing and skill renewing. As the final part, in the background of general generators and case of Shang'an electric power plant, I defined guidelines, processes and steps for re-constructing of enterprise culture and cooperate identification, especially, future plan for Shang'an electric power plant tragedy, enterprise mission, view of value and philosophy.
