A Study On Present Situation And Developing Tendency Of Information Brokering In China

Information Brokering is an important part of information service industry. In foreign countries Information Brokering is much more mature and advanced compared with that in China, and it plays an important role in the development of social economic development. There is still something to be done with the development of Information Brokering in China because it cannot meet the requirement of social development. By analyzing the development situation of Information Brokering home and abroad especially that in China, this paper analyzes the should-be development situation of our Information Brokering and its actual development situation. It also makes a preliminary prediction and discussion on its future.This paper, with five chapters, mainly probes into the emerging and developing background of Information Brokering, its inscapes, its operation patterns and approaches, its effect on Information Industry and the whole social structure, and its future developing tendency. On these bases, effective approaches are tried to provide with an intention to promote the development of our Information Brokering.Chapter I is a review that analyzes the present situations of the internal and external study on Information Brokering. Chapter II discusses the social and historical background under which Information Brokering bloomed and developed, with an attempt to illustrate its originating and developing social circumstances as being a new-born energetic industry, in addition to the phases and forms in the process. Meanwhile, it discusses the effect on its own future development. Chapter III studies die structure of the Information Brokering from the aspects of the subjectand object of Information Brokering professional activity, of the carrier that information Brokering activity attaches to, and from the service object of Information Brokering professional activity, etc. The aim of peeling off these factors from the Information Industry is to correctly grasp and objectively estimate the developing situation of our Information Brokering from the microcosmic angle. The existent forms and present situation of the Information Broker are crucially explored. Chapter IV analyzes the content of the Information Brokering professional activity from the point of the operation activity of Information Brokering such as Information Retrieval, Information Reorganizing, users training, so it is more significant in general and practice. In this Chapter, a large number of data and tables are quoted to make quantitative and qualitative analysis of the present situation of our Information Brokering. On the basis of general principles, it analyzes the special problems in our Information Brokering professional activity and working approaches and modifying measures. In the form of case study, Chapter V tries to give a further study on the social linkage effect based on social impact produced by the emergency and development of Information Brokering, from the angle of industrial economy and sociology.
