Ideological And Political Problems On The Education Of Resettlers In The Three Gorges Reservoir Area And Its Stratejical Study

Whether the Three Gorges Project succeeds or fails mainly lies in problems of resettlers. The project of population resettlement is a touch-and-go social systematic project. The ideological and political education to resettlers plays an important part and is the key point of achieving the goal-resettling the population in a flexible and reasonable way in the hope that they can become rich gradually.Ideoligical and political education is a kind of practical activity.Although some cadres in charge of resettlement and some scholars have carried out idealigical and political education to a great extent , and drawn some conclusions about problems in the resettlement, comparatively speaking, the study of ideological and political education to resettlers is still inadequate. This paper is to systematically study problems occurring in such education and put forward the author's opinions and ideas, so as to provide some advice for resettlement projects.The whole article consists of three parts:Part one: Current situation of ideoligical and political education to Three Gorges Reservoir Area resettlers.First of all,this paper explores it and makes a summary, then the author draws some conclusions about the current situation of the education.Part two: Problems on ideological and political education to resettlers and cause analyses.This part specifically explores some aspects of these problems such as fields of misconception, contigent construction, methods and propaganda activities. The causes of the occurrence of these problems are muliti-sided and complicated. This part only studies from resettlement cadres and resettlers themselves, and the effect of somenegative social factors.Part three: strategical study of ideological and political education to Three Gorges Reservoir Area resettlers. This part is the key point of the whole article and also is the aim of the paper. It offers some strategies and advice in order to improve the practical effect of the education: improving acknowlegement and changing old ideas;strengthening the party's guidance and contigent construction of cadres in charge of resettlement in the education; making deep study of resettlers education theories; keeping the combination of resettlement by law and by virtue;and optimizing conditions of education to resettlers,etc.
