WTO/TBT Standardization And The Development Of Chinese National Industries

With the deployment of the basic theories of the international trade, this article studies how to utilize the protection of standardization and the issue of developing national industries on the basis of the research achievement in industry economics.This article is composed of four parts:The first part is introduction. It introduces the research background, purpose, contents with its inspiring points, methods and remaining problems. This part sets the frame of this issue and lays down the background foundation for the research.The second part discloses the primary ways of protection of the international trade with the introduction of some countries' technical barrier system, such as USA, EU and Japan. Beginning with the appearance, concepts and main contents of trade technical barrier, it demonstrates the development trend of the world standardization on the basis of analyzing the economic efficiency of the standardization. This part sets up the theoretical foundation for the proceeding analysis.The third part studies the relationship among trade'technical barrier, standardization and development of national industries. From the perspective of the influence of the technical barrier on the international trade and the developing nations, this part analyzes the uses of the standardization in the-/.?trade technical barrier. This part provides theoretical basis for the policy proposal.The fourth part is the summary as well as the most important part of this article .It puts forward the policy proposals of suitably utilizing TBT protocols and standardization to protect and develop our country's national industry.
