This paper is a study on the issues of China-Japan trade structure and its trade relations. Firstly, there is a brief introduction about the basic characteristics of trade development about China and Japan. This partrpovides the background of the following analysis. Secondly, concerning two countries, the structure of the merchandise trade, the structure,in trade region and its changes, the technology trade and the relations of the trade are listed respectively, then there is a analysis of these characteristics about China.Based on the comparative study on China-Japan trade structure, some enlightenments as following are provided to China. 1. Quicken the step of freeness,in the foreign trade. 2. In order to improve the competence in global market, the function of organization of export-oriented industries must be strengthened and hence realize scale economy. 3. Reasonable policies must be made so as to upgrade and optimize the structure of export commodities. 4. Adjust the foreign trade pattern step by step, promote the diversification and the scattering of the foreign trade market. 5. Independent research and development must be stressed to break the vicious circle in technology import and seek most favorable share in global market. 6. Construction of foreign trade laws should be strengthened to further optimize the circumstance of foreign trade development.In order to conquer the difficulties in the trade relations between China and Japan, promote the trade relations between China and Japan more and more, we must adopt the following measures. 1. Keeping stableincreasing about bilateral trade continuously. 2. Advancing qualities and administrative levels on trade relations between China and Japan. 3.Strengthen policy harmony and treat between China and Japan. 4. Resolving trade friction through the negotiation and consultation.
