Since the foundation of Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchange,securities business of China has passed for 10 years,and has achieved for great achievement. In the development of securities business,securities merchant is not only a bridge and resonance,but also an important impetus. The development of securities business and securities merchant in China is synchronous. At the same time,the development of securities business can't depart from the development of securities merchant. To a large extent,the developmental degree of securities merchant reflects the developmental level and direction of the securities business. So it is one of important tasks for promoting the development of securities business to analyze and research problems relate to the marketing of securities merchant,and it has important meaning both in theory and practice.Firstly,this paper establishes status of securities merchant in securities business and indicates that the development of securities business can't depart from the development of securities merchant by expatiating the concept,operational extensions,functions,classification and operational principle of securities merchant. Secondly,set out from the meaning of marketing research of securities merchant,the paper illustrates the importance of building up marketing senses and training marketing abilities of securities merchant according to the concept,characters and theory of securities business,and fundamental marketing principle of securities merchant by researching the marketing theory of securities merchant. Thirdly,by researching the marketing tactics of securities merchant,the paper indicates that securities merchant how to choose the marketing target market,variety innovation and other marketing tactics and channels in the practical condition of market partition,so as to improve competitive competence in the whole securities vocation. Finally,the paper expatiates marketing tactics of securities merchant from international exchange and financial omnibus operation in detail at the basis of analyzing the developmental trend of intending securities business.Therefore,it is a counter-slighting problem for the development of securities business to research the marketing problems of securities merchant;in fact,researches on the marketing problems of securities merchant are the development of marketing theory system,which fill up a blank of present researches in the area of capital market,and have great direction meaning to the operational activities of securities merchant.
