The supply chain time compression strategy as a critical tool to improve supply chain performance, enable the enterprise to provide the products to customers quickly, which, as a result, effectively improves the competitive advantage of the enterprise.The part of the case starts with a shampoo initiative launch of P&G China. The time of shampoo supply chain components, together with the mode of supply chain management, is stated. The company is lack of capability to react effectively to the suddenly changed market conditions. Products can't be supplied to market on time, which has caused company to lose existing and potential customers.The analysis part of the case introduces the concept of supply chain management and the strategy of supply chain time compression. Enterprise supply chain time compression and building partnership with key suppliers for time compression are the approaches to analyze and highlight opportunities and feasibilities of material supply and production optimization in this case.
