How was the idea of "One Country, Two Systems" invented? Why was it invented only in China? Is it a scientific invention? Focusing on these questions, this paper, with Jiang Zemin's idea of "Three Benefits" as a guide, and borrowing Mao Zedong's way of "modern and ancient, Chinese and foreign", makes a deeper and comprehensive analysis of the invention of the idea of "One Country, Two Systems" in different aspects such as politics, economy and culture, history and realism, objectivity and subjectivity. This paper breaks through the metaphysics of the former research on this topic and with a fresh viewpoints is expected to make a more scientific exposure of the causes for the invention of the idea. The whole paper is divided into 5 chapters.Chapter 1: The historical, cultural and economic soures of the invention of Deng Xiaoping's idea of "One Country, Two Systems". The creation of any theory should conform with the cultural and historical traditions and the realistic economic basis of the nation. The idea of "One Country, Two Systems" is the very crystallization of the advanced social sciences based on the practice of "Two systems" in the histories of Chian and other countries and the comcept of Unity and compatability in the Chinese tradition. The paper provides examples of countries with two different systems in the world history so as to prove that the idea of "One Country, Two Systems" uses the experience of history for reference. The essential difference between the idea put forty by Deng Xiaoping and that of the history follows. Finally, the paper stresses the economic origin of the idea of "One Country, Two Systems" such as the similarity of themarket economy, the practice of "One Market, Two Systems", the productivity in the Mainland and the econimic basis of diversified economic forms at the first stage of the socialism.Chapter 2: The background of the idea of "One Country, Two Systerms". The current trend of "Peace and Development" acted as the causes of the invention of the idea of "One Country, Two Systerms". The gradually relieved situation in the Taiwan Straits since the 19th century-has become a golden chance for the peaceful reunification of the county. Deng Xiaoping was sensitive to this change and with all his efforts, he invented the idea of "One Country, Two Systerms".Chapter 3: The realistic base for the idea. The policy of "One Country, Two Systerms"takes into consideration the realism of all the parts concerned. First, the issues of Hongking, Macao and Taiwan are historical ones and their solwtions should be based on their histories; meanwhile, the issues are realistic ones and their solutions showld be based on the realistic needs of the people there, that is, the people there hope for a united China; but they have been accustomed to the capitalist systems and living styles there with a misunderstanding of the socialist system in the Mainland; and the issues were also a bit international and therefore international relations should be considered in the solutions. Consequently, it is practical to remain a capitalist system in those areas. Second, the situation it the Mainland is that the socialist China is gradually becoming strong so as to be able to reunite herself, the needs for reunification and development should be considered equally important, and the existence of "One Country, Two Systerms" ultimately will benefit the socialist development. At last, the whole world is a community with two systems, Then, why cannot there be two systems within a country? So, the practice of "One Country, Two Systerms" will benefit the Mainland, Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan. Chapter 4: The practical base for the idea. The idea of "One Country,Two Systerms" is not fabricated by Deng Xiaoping. It is orrted from the explotation into the reunification of China by Mao Zedong and other leaders of the Republic.
