In view of competitive nature of container ports in the global container market, we chose to discuss the development of container ports in Middle East area as the strongest and most influential among the world areas. The focus of this dissertation has been to analyze this area and to discern its future conditions.In order to provide a reasonably coherent and logical analytical framework, this paper concentrates its research efforts on the eight states which border the Arabian gulf (Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabian and the united Arab emirates), but, where appropriate, broadens the scope to embrace those countries which, politically or in some other way, are also definable as middle east nations. These other countries are Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen. The distinction between gulf zone of eight nations and the wider thirteen country Mid-East region is clearly expressed throughout this paper.In order to understand and analyze the Mid-East container ports development, we start our dissertation at regional overview with analyze of the economic situation and it's position in the world economy. We focus, then, on the situation of each of the main players in Middle East shipping market.More significantly, the paper forecast and analyzes the main factors to balance container ports supply-demand in the region.
