Generation Scheduling of Power Market is: according to the bidding data from each power companies and aiming at the lowest purchase fee, the broker makes unit commitment and load schedules which satisfy all sets of power system constraints, the process of generation scheduling can be divided into two main systems.The function of contract management system is to allot the contract electrical energy in a rational way.These problems is discussed in this paper. And a practical method for contract management in the deregulation environment is presented.The function of brokerage system is to buy enough electrical power at a cost as minimal as possible to meet the demand. At the same time, the security of the power system has to be considered.This process is a comprehensive optimization problem. And linear programming is a well-suited option to solve this problem.Based on the property of the problem, two main steps are devided in the process of scheduling generation plan.In the first step, an optimal model based on single and multi period constraints is constructed. The object is the minimal cost for purchasing electrical power from generators. The constraints include:Single Period Constraints The balance between generation and demand; The maximum/minimal output limitation of the units; The limitation of the grid transmit capacity; Some ohter limitations set by the system operator.Multi Period Constraints The minimal operation time of unit sets; The rate of the units to increase or descrease its outputAfter this step, the Unit Commitment is defined. And the System Operator can adjust this Unit Commitment to meet the requirement of the operation security.In the Second steps, the constraint of the unit output limitation can be modifiedBy these two steps, a Day-ahead generation plan is scheduled and then it will be commited to the SO(system operator) to guide the operation of the next day.The method presented in this paper has been used in the Power Market of HeiLongjiang province, and a satisfying result has been achieved.
