Study On The Reason And Its Solution Impeding China's Enterprises To Implement ISO14000 Standards

In the long process of human history,industrial revolution symbolizes human progress,and the uninterrupted expansion of production scale brings prodigious wealth to human,it also brings about the environment of people living to deteriorate. ISO 14000 serial standards are a series of environmental management standards which drafted by ISO/TC207 in order to promote the environmental protection and sustainable development.We began to carry out ISO 14000 standards from the end of 1996,by the end of 2000,there are 233 enterprises which passed the ISO 14000 certification. In the 233 enterprises,about 68.2% belongs to foreign-funded enterprise and joint venture,besides there are some large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises,the rest small and medium-sized enterprises are in the minority. The author find the main problems which hinder our enterprises to implement the ISO 14000 standards by wide investigation and practice,meanwhile,the author think we can resolve these problems. As the environmental legislation gradual consummation,the environmental accessory infrastructural facilities gradual improvement,the environmental consciousness of consumers gradually awakening,enterprises only have two paths under the powerful market pressure and motive force:One is carrying out ISO 14000 standards,enforcing green strategy;the other is withdrawing from the market competition,stopping production.
