The Study On ICBC Yan'An Branch Operation Performance

The banking industry of China is faced with the great challenge and pressure with China's entering into the WTO. As one of the four biggest state-owned commercial banks, the improvement of operation performance of ICBC takes a more important role. It is urgent necessity for the ICBC to realize intensified operation, efficiency operation and security operation by taking the secondary branch as the main operation unit. So how to improve the operation performance of the secondary branch is the key to improving competition capacity of ICBC. This paper studies a secondary branch, ICBC Yan'An Branch, for the purpose of applying and practice research. Firstly, it introduces the present relative research theory of this field in the domestic and foreign countries and their application in state-owned commercial bank, including trust agent theory, motivation theory, controlled by employee theory and management extent and management level, management cost and efficiency. Then, it analyzes the current situation of the operation performance of the secondary bank, and considers that the main reasons lies in the influence of state-owned commercial bank of branch mechanism's management system, difficulty in adapting to the great change of outside environment, the defect of classified authorization mode of state-owned bank, the fall behind of organization concepts, check supervision mechanism and the imperfect of the inner-controlled mechanism, etc. therefore, operation mechanism must be reformed and operation performance must be improved. Finally, the author puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the operation performance of secondary branch. It proposes the reform of organization structure, realization of flatten management, the emphasize in data development , the culture construction of the industry, the perfection of the inner-controlled mechanism, strengths on the check supervision for decreasing risk of operation management and the improvement of the operation performance as well as the new performance assessment model has been designed.
