An Exploration Of The Role, Existing Problems And Solutions Regarding The Application Of Information Technology In State-owned Commercial Banks

This paper provides a comparison between domestic banks,especially state-owned commercial banks,and foreign counterparts in terms of the history of the application of information technology and the role of information technology in their operations. Based on this comparison,this paper offers an analysis of the existing problems besetting state-owned commercial banks and the latent incompetence and deficiency in the management systems and operating procedures of the state-owned commercial banks,and proposes courses of actions for the domestic banks to give a better play to information technology in their future competition with foreign rivals.Chapter 1 is a brief summary of the history of digitalization of state-owned commercial banks. Chapter 2 elaborates on the features of different stages of the digitalization process of overseas commercial banks,and provides a comparison between domestic and foreign commercial banks in terms of the differences in the application of information technology. Chapter 3 expounds the specific application of information technology in state-owned commercial banks and explores the potential effect of the application of information technology on state-owned commercial banks. Chapter 4 offers a specific analysis of the existing system problems in the application of information technology in state-owned commercial banks. Chapter 5 proposes the solutions for improving the application of information technology in state-owned commercial banks.
