Study On Adjustment And Optimization Of Rural Industrial Structure

With the development of Chinese market economy and the further deepening of the economy reform, and agriculture and rural economy having come into a new stage, reasonable adjustment to rural industrial structure is needed.Beginning with the relating basic concepts, the paper analyzed the general trends of rural industrial structure's changing: agriculture ratio decrease, agriculture modernization, rural industrialization, etc. Based on those, the paper has discussed Chinese rural industrial structure's history, present, characteristics and reasons that it comes into being. After that, the relationship of evolution of rural industrial structure and regional economy's development was studied with a new respect. Applying the method of Gini Coeffcient, the trend of the variation of rural regional economy differences of Henan province from 1984 to 1996 and its factors affecting are analyzed. It points out that the differences of rural regional economy are enlarging with the development of market economy, and that non-balance of rural industries' development is the main reason of the enlargement of the differences. Thus policy proposals directing the adjustment of rural industrial structure are offered. Lastly, applying the method of Von.Neumann Turnpike Model, it has respectively measured the optimum production strength of Henan province in 1992 and 1997 based on the re-classifying to industries, analyzed problems on theindustrial structure and the agriculture structure in Henan province, and then the elementary project of the adjustment of rural industrial structure is made.
