Research On Constitution And Function Of Regional Economic Integration Organizations

Economic globalization has made significant development since 1980s, but owing to differences in development, geographic proximity and cultural tradition among countries, the process of its performance has being greatly influenced. A sharp evidence is the failure of the new round initiation by WTO ministerial meeting in Seattle, which mirrored a difficulty time for the multilateral cooperation. Meanwhile, there is a dramatic rise of RTAs as an outcome of regional economic development. In terms of current world economy, regional economic integration is a necessary phase to realize the economic globalization. In another word, regional economic organization is a transition state in which the economic globalization runs. It is much important to acclimate regional economic organizations and take an active apart in them for purposes of enhancing a country's open degree, optimizing allocation of resources, acquiring crytic economic welfare in the region, realize its economy development.The thesis summarized and extended the theoretical points on the Economic welfare effects resulting from arguing that RTAs tend to increase members' economic strength in the region and competition power in international market, extent international division of the labor basing on economy of scale, and to make all factors in the region serving for their short-term and long-term benefits. The overall economic strength is represented by larger enterprise size, higher technologic level and labor productivity etc, and what's more important is that it can produce new types of division of labor industrial adjustment and fluent mobility if productive factors like capital, technology and productivity, which have and will have deep and broad impacts on the development of the world economic integration.This research begins with microcosmic mechanism of the regional trade integration organizations to explain the reasons of the formation of the ARTs basing on economic analysis, various forms and characteristics in the real economic world, trade, investment, finance and technologic cooperation, and their development trend in the future are included.
