Peasant issue is the basic issue in the Chinese New Democratic Revolution, and this is decided by the main social contradiction, social quality and the rank position of peasants in the modern Chinese society .In modern China,"those who can get support from peasants will win China ". It has been proved many times that the right cognition and solution emerges as the key point of Chinese revolution. Before the birth of Chinese Communist Party, no social class or party could have correct cognition and solution of this issue, so this heavy responsibility falls historically on the shoulders of The Chinese Communist Party.Peasant issue is a hot point issue, and is also a difficult point issue. It has been widely investigated among Chinese communists in the field of history. In general, most researches were conducted according to periods or stages, and they focused attention on a certain aspect of this issue or a certain communist who investigated it .In this case, the thesis is intended to make a specific historical investigation about the earlier Chinese Communists' cognition of peasant issue from 1921 to 1927.The thesis has the main points about those Chinese communists who had deep understanding of peasant issue, as well as the main line about the periods when Chinese communists led The Peasant Movement ,and it also makes an objective analysis of the influence and effect given by the Communist International ,whose purpose is to get beneficial experience and tips .The thesis consists of seven parts, and the emphasis is placed on the process in which the earlier communists had a gradually penetrating cognition in peasant issue.The first part deals with some relevant cognition and practice about peasant issue theories .The theoretical resources from which the earlier communists founded their peasant issue theories are analyzed specifically; and the analysis and investigation of the inheritance and practice of peasant issue theories among the earlier communists are conducted at two stages, to get an overall assurance of this issue.The second part copes with the peasant land issue. This part lays emphasis on the earlier communists' analysis and cognition of the peasant social class in order to lay a theoreticaland policy basis for solving land issue. These cognition and practice of land issue provides a solid foundation for the Party' leading the people to conduct land revolution after The Great Revolution.The third part deals with the issue of peasant regime and peasant arms. The part first analyzes concretely the relevant contents about the earlier communists' cognition of peasant regime and peasant arms. Firstly, it analyzes the earlier communists' cognition of the significance of peasant regime and peasant arms. Then it investigates their attempts to establish peasant regime and arms in three stages. The Chinese Communists managed to find out the correct revolutionary course after experiencing a long process in which peasant issue was ignored firstly and then emphasized gradually.The fourth part copes with the league of workers and peasants. This part analyzes specifically communist' cognition of the importance and possibility of establishing the league of workers and peasants, and it also analyzes the creation of the league organization of workers and peasants. Finding out the peasants as proletarian faithful allied forces provides a solid foundation for leading the New Democratic Revolution successfully, which is a Peasant Revolution in nature.The fifth part deals with the education of peasant cadres in two aspects. One, fostering peasant cadres meets the need of struggle in the New Democratic Revolution; in the other, the part analyzes the significance of the earlier communists' presiding the peasant education. The creation and practice of fostering peasant cadres promoted the arrival of the upsurge in the peasant movement throughout the whole country.
