Educationists use Hidden Method as the main method of Ideological and Political Education extensively in practice. And it has the same impact as Overt Method. Nowadays, there is still lacking real research on Hidden Method . With the progress of practice and the development of Ideological and the Political Education, this research is becoming more and more important. It's eager for us to reveal its inner feature and its acting system. After we made its key status clear, we can improve our educational practical results with theory. From this point, this article will practise an exploratory research on Hidden Method after the guide of Marxist Philosophy. This article has 35,000 words and is divided into five parts.The first part: The history of Hidden Method. This part summarizes its times background, its existence style and its effect in four different periods, such as ancient period, new democracy period, reform and open to outside period, and the period after the construction of socialism market-oriented economy.The second part: Feature and Function of Hidden Method. This part compares Hidden and Overt Method expounds the feature and function of Hidden Method from four aspects, which are aims, methods, contents and objects of education.The third part: The objective basis of Hidden Method. The research is carried from five aspects, such as philosophy basis, target bases, acceptance basis, environment basis and practical feedback basis. These researches grasp the contents of Hidden Method from the aspect of theory pattern.The fourth part: The creation and development of nowadays-Hidden Method. This part summarizes its pattern from social direction. That means the combination of Ideological and Political Education with social circumstances, some special factors and the personality of educationists.The fifth part: The problems in practice. The article explained the problems in practice, such as the basic condition for the implementation of Hidden Method, the range of its implementation, its status, and overcome its unitary orientation and catch up its change, and even find out new methods consistently.
